A wonderful couple contacted me recently, inquiring about photography for a very special event. Christine and Greg were celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, and hosting an intimate dinner at The Inn at Little Washington for their closest family and friends. The Inn is located in the tiny village of Washington, in Rappahannock County Virginia, which was first settled by George Washington himself. If you’ve never been, you must make a point of enjoying a relaxing drive in the country for an evening at this most charming of charming getaways…to quote their website, The Inn at Little Washington is “America’s first 5 Star country house hotel”, which says it all. The staff treat you like royalty, but make you feel at home. It was the perfect place for Christine and Greg’s special occasion.
The view from the ballroom was spectacular. Beautiful centerpieces by TILW’s on-site floral designer, Gregory Britt. (And such a nice guy too!!)
Christine and Greg… three thousand, six hundred, fifty-two days after their first day of marriage…
The decor of The Inn was straight out of Traditional Home, Elle Decor, or Architectural Digest… amazingly elegant, but so now. Chinoiserie done so tastefully. This very non-traditional girl was ready to move in! Do you see the detail on the ceiling? Those are clouds! LOVE! (My eyes couldn’t stop looking around… so many beautiful details!)
Meat pies and champagne. Time to party.
Some of my fondest childhood memories were of getting dressed up for special events with my family. These two look sharper than sharp! Nice bowtie Zach!
Cheese puffs and truffle popcorn. Patrick O’Connell… I love you.

Just before dinner, Christine and Greg went around the room and spoke to each person, sharing with them what their support has meant to their marriage. There were many tears… especially from the photographer!
Happy Anniversary Christine and Greg!! <3
